In Saint-Renan, 50 spectators for the reopening of the cinema Le Bretagne – Saint-Renan

On Friday, January 27, 2023, about fifty people were present at the reopening of the cinema Le Bretagne, in Saint-Renan, to discover the new premises and to watch the screening of the film “Les Cyclades” at 14:15. During the works, sessions were offered in the Cultural Space Amphitheater. Claire Massiat, president of the cinema association, and Maxime Iffour, programmer, as well as many volunteers present, were happy to welcome the spectators again.

Rediscover the authenticity of the movie theater

“We had attended several screenings in the Amfi, a comfortable and spacious room, but we are happy to find the originality of the cinema room”, confess two film lovers, Marie-Thérèse and Roselyne. “It is a pleasure to find this room in its original building, rue Saint-Mathieu. We feel good there. There is a room nearby. We don’t need to travel to Brest, not even to see the latest movies,” adds Eric.

Before the session, Maxime Iffour conducted a small survey. Among those present, 30 people were already loyal to the cinema and about twenty spectators came for the first time to discover the new premises.

Two directors present

The cinema finds from this week a full program of varied films that should please everyone, in particular six screenings, from February 1 to 6, of the film “Asterix and Obelix, Middle Empire”. Two directors will be present to present their film: Saturday, February 4, 20:30, Gaël Lépingle for “Des Garçons de Province”; Sunday, February 12, 10:00, Fabien Drouet for “Ban the dogs and the Italians”. The little ones aren’t forgotten either, with the relaunch of Ciné Pacifiers on February 9 and the Télérama children’s film festival.
