The first edition of the “Les Mycéliades” festival starts in Corrèze this Thursday, February 2 at the Rex cinema in Brive. To raise awareness among 15/25 year olds, seven SF films, conferences and workshops are planned until February 15.
Bringing science fiction to the whole of France is the mission of the first festival “Myceliads”. An event about images and books aimed mainly at young people aged 15 to 25. It is available in Corrèze with projections on Rex Cinema in Brive and meetings in the media library. At Rex, seven feature films available from this Thursday, February 2.
Alien, Total Recall, 2001, A Space Odyssey, Starship-Troopers… The proposed works are, for the most part, part of the cinematographic heritage. Some lesser-known films will be revealed during the festival.
Works that went a bit unnoticed when they came out like Gagarin are great. The story of a young man who recreates a space station in the city of Gagarin… Between SF and social, it’s a real miracle!

Youri dreams of becoming a cosmonaut. He grew up in the city Gagarin from Ivry-sur-Seine. When he learns that he is threatened with demolition, Youri decides to go to the resistance. On February 6 at 19:00, find the cult film released in 1979 on the big screen. Previously, in the media library in the center of Brive, a “Swedish” film workshop will take place.. A dozen participants will recreate, with the tools available, one of the legendary scenes from Ridley Scott’s masterpiece.
We return to the primitive joy of cinematography. And the fan-made film will be shown on the big screen at the end of Alien!

A NASA astronaut who has gone to Mars finds himself stranded on the planet. He will have to learn to survive only in a hostile environment. Ridley Scott’s film will be screened on Wednesday February 15 at 8.30pm.
Workshops, LEGO building competitions, escape games and conferences will mark this first SF festival organized with the help of the municipality at the cinema Brive par le Rex, green eye (image education center in New Aquitaine), Cinema Sheshi and the board game store Goblin Gaillard.
