LOS ANGELES | Two dogs belonging to Lady Gaga were stolen Wednesday night in Hollywood, and the worker the star had entrusted with their care was shot and wounded during the attack, US media reported today.
According to the TMZ site, which specializes in celebrities and was the first to share this information, Lady Gaga is offering a $500,000 reward for the return of her two French bulldogs, christened Koji and Gustav.
Contacted by AFP to confirm the information, the singer’s agents did not respond Wednesday morning.
For its part, Los Angeles police said they intervened Wednesday evening in Hollywood after an individual armed with a semi-automatic handgun opened fire on a man in his thirties. The suspect fled in a white car, taking with him two of the three French bulldogs the victim was walking.
Police have not released the identity of the victim, who was conscious after the attack and was taken to hospital, and have not confirmed that the two dogs belonged to Lady Gaga.
According to TMZ and other local media, the pop diva entrusted the victim with taking care of her pets while she was in Rome filming a Ridley Scott movie.
A third bulldog, Asia, was recovered by law enforcement from the scene of the attack.
Lady Gaga is particularly attached to her dogs, who often accompany her to public events and of which she publishes photos on social networks.
